On rare occasions, I will post something on my own blog as well as here. I will try to only do this when it is really important.
This is really important.
The Feast of the Sacred Heart will soon be upon us. It falls on the Friday following the second Sunday after Pentecost, which this year will be June 15th. You have just enough time to prepare for the enthronement of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on Its feast day, and I urge you to consider doing so.
I’m usually quite verbose when I post about something I care about, but I find that I’m at a loss for words about this devotion. It is so important to us, and I can’t begin to comprehend how to describe it.
Part of this is because I am only newly devoted in a conscious way to the Sacred Heart, and I still have much to learn. I say “in a conscious way” because I’ve been praying to the Sacred Heart for as long as I can remember…I just had no formal devotion. My wife, however, was recently compelled in prayer to believe that Our Lord willed us to enthrone the Sacred Heart of Jesus in our Home immediately. I was only too happy to oblige, and we bought a beautiful image and carried out the enthronement ceremony about a month ago.
Life has been different since then. I can’t quite describe it, but I feel closer to Our Lord than I think I ever have. My prayer life is deepening without the same difficulties I encountered before. I am happier and less prone to be upset about the daily troubles life brings. I have hope. I am accomplishing more. In fact, one of the promises of the Sacred Heart is that those who honor it will have their endeavors blessed by heaven. I am beginning to see that taking place.
The overwhelming feeling that I have as a result of the enthronement is one of love for Our Divine Savior. I am animated by this in a new way, and motivated to accomplish more for Him. I don’t claim that it’s made me into an instant saint, but it has certainly and more distinctly made me want to be one.
Please consider this devotion. Through it, He will protect your family from the constant assaults of the world. In addition, if Christ is to become the King of our nations again, He must first become the King of our homes and families. The world can be conquered for Him through this devotion, if only we will give Him our all.

You should know that “uniate” is now generally considered pejorative.
