About
This site is the foundation stone of a new online writers group called the Catholic Restorationists. Organized by a common purpose, we are grouped together through the use of a webring and private members-only discussion group.
The idea is to provide fellowship, support and the opportunity to develop ideas through a cooperative effort. Many of us are isolated in our traditional Catholicism and our longing for a more substantial and meaningful existence than urban or even suburban life can provide. We drive long distances to get to a traditional Mass, we are surrounded by friends and family who are not convinced of the need for a radical departure from the status quo - even within the Church - and many of us are without a parish, subsisting instead on a provisional indult Mass.
This is our opportunity to join together, regardless of where we happen to be, and work toward Catholic restoration.
If you are interested in joining the webring, please visit us and submit an application. Just click on the “Join Now” button at the top right-hand side of the page. If you’ve never signed up with webring, you’ll need to start an account with them. It’s free, if not entirely straightforward, and I’ll be happy to help if you need it.
Our private discussion group is through google groups. In the event that your membership application is accepted, you will be given an invitation to participate.
Please note that while we welcome comments from everyone, the writing and content standards for the group are notoriously high. I place a high priority on generating a credible presence in the online community, and this requires that we be selective about who we admit. If, for some reason, you apply and are not admitted, please do not think that your comments are not welcome on our blogs and your perspective is not valued.
For more information on our group, please see the CR charter page. If you have questions or comments, please contact me at the following address:
